I'm also having this issue. There isn't a highlighted chair when I enter the restaurant. I have tried interacting on each chair and nothing happens. Might be a bug.

Really glad to see the project coming around again on my feed. Renpy is pretty reliable from what I've seen, but I did encounter a slight bug I found while trying to get started on replaying up to where I was before. The skip function ended up not working after a certain point involving Vera in the classroom. I'm not sure if it was the time wasting option or the chat that did it, but it greyed out the skip button and the hotkey to skip text stopped functioning properly. I have unseen text set to skip, and I tried playing with other skip options to see if I could get it to work again. Not a huge bug, but one that I encountered nonetheless. Best wishes for the game's continued development!

Love this game. It's got some rough bugs almost all the time, but it's a great story with characters I can actually care about. My one request would be to implement some type of skip text option. If you miss an update and can't get the content for the update you missed, starting a new file would be the go to option. It'd be easier to skip through most of the text from the early game.

Gossive community · Created a new topic Secret Hints?
(1 edit)

I quite enjoy playing Gossive despite my lack of love for the ugly bastard theme. Skydra is just too pretty not to admire.

My question is, are there any hints we the community could get in order to find the secrets? I've found Hooth and the scene with Stevasson on my own, but the toy and the scene with Ginga are puzzling me. Any information to clue me and maybe others in would be helpful. They don't have to outright say what to do.

Just curious. Fun game so far.

I don't have any other tasks to improve the brothel, and I can't seem to find them anywhere in order to pay them.

Where can one find the two girls, Maen and Sa, that got hired for the brothel? I see them in my journal with 3 undiscovered scenes, but I can't find them.

I'm a bit curious here. Is this game no longer getting free releases? If not, I think the price is fair enough to purchase it, so I'm not too worried. It's just a query really

Well, after playing another run through, I didn't get the event you were describing. I actually got a different event. During the third quest with Miwi, I ended up finding her and Ram together. Didn't know if that was intended or if you were excluding side character events with the new event count.

I figured, but I thought asking anyways would clear everything up. I guess Ram just felt like taking his sweet time. Me and my luck with RNG, am I right?

That's really helpful to know. I'm sure I'll be playing version 3 as soon as possible whether that's the public release or if I get to a point where I can comfortably support the game.

Looking forward to finding that other river scene and getting further with Miwi, Cetra, and the other side characters that will eventually be added in.

Version 2 is looking great! I've already played through it twice, both times having a rough early start, but I have managed to see one of the new lewd events.

If possible, can I get a hint as to how to find or who is part of the other event? The one I've already seen is the one without Ram.

Speaking of Ram, man did he love running away from whoever I was trying to get him together with. I don't know if the AI was just giving me unlucky rolls or if it's been changed to start events if Percy is further away.

I've also been trying to figure out if one change was intentional or not. Since events end the turn that you see them, if you view one event while another one is going on with two other characters simultaneously, you have to choose which one to view and which one to give up.

Very much looking forward to playing version 3!

I would appreciate that as I can't seem to get the sphinx puzzles down for the life of me. I've played through a second time, doing much better and getting a couple more lewd scenes. I could have sworn I had it right but it didn't work out, so I'll have to try a different combination next run.

On the topic of lewd scenes, are there only oral scenes currently? If so, do you plan to expand to more types of scenes? If not, I guess I should do better at minesweeping and see them myself.

That works too. If less scene repeats are planned for the future, that's still progress. As long as it doesn't impede in the scenes most people came to see, I'm all for it. Best of luck!

I'd like to preface my comment with a few things. I am a very bad minesweeper player. My success with puzzles is very inconsistent. All that being said, I think this game is very well put together at a fundamental level. It works well enough to get me invested for more than one run which is saying something. I even got to see a couple of the more lewd scenes so it's pretty accessible. I enjoy the art and layout of the game itself. I can't say this game is built poorly in the slightest.

The only complaints I have are either minor issues or quality of life issues, both can be sorted out in time. It's already been stated and noted, but I do have to mention that the objective clarity and sphinx puzzles could use a bit of touching up. I'd also personally like to see a bit more clarity for scenes that happen in the span of 1-2 turns, like the receptionist in the hotel. I didn't get to see that one happen at all. Maybe that's a fault of mine for not having very good predictive timing, but my point still stands.

As an aside, I'd also really like to see a change to the current dialogue. Some scenes are going to be repeated. That's just how the game works. I'd like it if the more those repeat scenes are viewed, the more of the dialogue you decipher, like changing the scribbles to actual script. That would make them more interesting in my opinion. I'm no game dev, so I couldn't exactly say whether or not that's a viable option. My guess is that you'd have to run a condition check that says something along the lines of, "if 'scene' has been viewed X or more times, change dialogue lines to..."

All in all, I'm happy with the game and hopeful for more positive progress in the upcoming updates! Best of luck to the dev(s)!

I like the game a fair bit. Enjoyable characters and scenes, if a bit repetitive at times. Problems are prominent for sure though. Every time I start up the game, even using my password save, it sets me back to the very start of the winter questline even if I've already finished it. The monsters I've befriended aren't in the embassy. I have the statues in the garden, but the permits are back in the shop as if I haven't bought them.

Also, not a problem, but I've found the lyinx caves multiple times without running into the observatory. I've also run across the bridge event in the forest but had to turn back. Obviously, I haven't been able to reach the caves for the pixie and alarune content, so I can't say anything about them.

Hoping to see more content and fixes to the more apparent issues I experienced. As well, I wish this project and its creators the best of luck in making it the way they intend and desire.

Glad to know what happened. Much appreciated!

Is it possible to complete Josie's quest with the save file given to us with this new update? I've gotten the remote and the optional pieces to the quest, but when I go back to the office, Josie isn't there, and I don't have any way to get the time of day to go past noon. Maybe I'm missing something.

Ah. I should have done that sooner. Thank you kindly!

Is there any hint as to how to start the quest for Nefari's camera? I've been looking around a decent amount but haven't found anything yet.

Pretty immediate bug I've found in 1.1

Every dialogue option that leads me to scavenge in the intro to the game ends up in a broken gamestate where the bag icon pops up with no text either there or in the normal textbox, I can't open the menu to get out of it and I can't advance through it. It's only been for male characters so far and I haven't tried being female yet but that stops me from being able to get anywhere with the game.
